Democracy Now ! May 4, 2011. Freedom Riders were part of the Civil rights movement in America. Segregation was made unlawful by the US Supreme Court . And yet Southern States defying the law maintained their Apartheid system which segregated blacks from the white community . The laws requiing segregation were referred to as Jim Crow . Jim Crow laws required seperate schools, hospitals,Cemetery’s, hotels and White’s Only signs were posted at diners , water fountains,park benches, public washrooms movie theaters . On public transport such as buses blacks were relegated to the back of the bus. The Freedom Riders in order to test the federal government ‘s resolve to enforce the Supreme Court rulling against segregation rode in buses across the deep south with blacks and whites sat beside one another in defiance of Jim Crow laws The domestic terrorist organization the Ku Klux Klan and their white supremacist sympathizers which included White politicians, governors, state legislators, mayors, city counsellors ,most police and fire departments and the majority of business men So over and over again when the buses arrived in a town the local racist would beat up the white and black freedom Riders. The white pro-segregationist argued that the US federal government did not have the right to over-rule state segregation laws. So at times these racists would to get more support appeal to those in favor of state’s rights and characterize the Feds as acting against the US Constitution .

I promise to tell you guys about that last time I lost my temper. Here’s the story. If you live near Orange County, NY, beware of Orange County Paving in Chester, NY. They’re nothing more than scammers who are targeting senior citizens. If you think you got scammed by them, contact your local police department and file a complaint. Also contact a lawyer if you decide to take legal action. Then contact your local Better Business Bureau office and file a complaint with them too. I got my money back but a lot of people haven’t. @djjimmyc1 When I found out how many people in my area got scammed by this company and all of them are senior citizens, I did get pissed off. They didn’t have the right to come to my house without us calling them in the first place and trying to scam my mother. What paving company do you know sells their services door to door? Now I admit I was wrong for lossing my temper with my mother but I’m not wrong for going after this company the way I did. What would you have done?

i try to look at things from a differnt point of view and could be wrong something im sure you have never thought.it sounds like after you threatend this guy in every way you could possibly think of they decided to protect the company name and give you back your money without going to court and even though they met all your demands refunding all of your sweet mothers money you still are angry i think you might want to seek some help with your anger maybe you have been bullied or hurt god bless
@djjimmyc1 It wasn’t real pavement. Plus they came to the house and said they had left over materal. They also waited until she signed the contract to tell her how amount the job was going to cost. And I would have gotten my money back in court because they didn’t get the owner of the property to sign this contract. Plus my mother told me she felt pressured by this company to sign the contract. So do you still think I’m a bad son?
so they did pave your driveway and you bullied them into refunding your mothers money.it sounds like you scamed the paving guys.your mother knew how much it was going to cost she had it in writting im not sure how much paving goes for but $2400 sounds reasonable i have seen it done they usually have dump trucks rollers and several men to do the labor seems like that would be worth something.those guys should have taken you up on that court case you would not have gotten all your money back.

Man oh man I remember the last time something like this happened to us. My hubby didn’t see it coming but I did & had to deal with it too b/c my hubby isnt a good talker & will usually let things go without a fight which isnt my way to do things at all. I dont allow ppl to screw me or my family over without a fight thats for sure. I know I dont look like the type of girl who would go crazy on some1 but when it comes to stuff like this I cant seem to hold back my temper .

It makes me cranky when people scam other out of money. So glad you got the money back. That was a bit generous to tell him a nice f**ing day lol.
